Bend-Sunriver RV Campground

Bend Lava Cast Forest    We arrived at the campground after driving almost 400 miles from Lake of the Springs.  We checked-in, and disconnected the dinghy and drove in to find a campsite. We found a great site within just a few minutes The campground is all gravel and the sites are all separated campsites and not like a parking lot at all.  Each site has a table an a firepit/barbecue.  You really get the campground feel.  Along with that, there are all the amenities that you find at a resort.  There was a small village with a grocery store and a food stand.  They even had a large outdoor inflatable movie screen.  There was both a family pool and an adult pool with an adult hot tub as well.

Some of the amenities were a bit worse for wear.  The disc golf course was pretty much unplayable and the pool table had no usable cues or eight-ball.  But most everything else was fine.  They did have four pickleball courts and kayak rentals.  Overall, we were impressed with the campground and are looking forward to our next visit.  While we were there we did get some time to explore Newberry National Caldara.  There are lava flows, obsidian flows, lava cones, lakes, waterfalls, and caves to explore.  Be sure to have your National Parks Pass.
