Paradise Cover RV Park & Marina, Wheeler, Oregon

     We arrived at the park in the early afternoon and were told that we only had one day when we had booked two.  That didn't take long to straighten out.  We were told that we would have to take a 30 amp site and it was first-come-first-serve.  (which was fine with us)  The other option that we had was to pick a sight along the waterfront but would have to give up having a septic hookup.  (that was fine as well)  So I quickly dumped my tanks and pulled forward into a site so that we had a view of Nehalem Bay out our front window.  The few was spectacular and that is about as much good I have to say about the park.  The park is in dire need of some major work.  The little pavement that there was, was in such bad shape that I couldn't drive my car in or out without scraping my trail hitch-mounted bike rack. (which broke because of the pavement issues)  The park is very run down and it looks as if no one cares about it.  The laundry was cheap, but when you saw the machines from mid last century, you knew why.  The rec hall and weight room were a part of the same building not to mention chickens, roosters, and turkeys.  The birds were kept behind the rec and could only be accessed from the rear of the build.  Jackie out of curiosity walked around back to see what was going on and was sternly told that she couldn't be back there.  We were scheduled to return for a couple of weeks after spending two weeks in Seaside.  We canceled our reservations and got into a park in Chehalis, Washington.  We have taken this park off our list of parks to revisit.
