Twenty-seventeen

2017, finally the year we retired.  It took a few months to get everything wrapped up so that we can hit the road.  Little did we know what all was involved with actually getting on the road with no place to call home except for the coach and wherever we may be at any given time.  I actually didn't retire until Feb, 28th (300 hours after my 55th birthday) Then it took another couple of months to get everything ready for the trip.  Our first destination was our niece's graduation from Colorado University of Mines in Golden, Colorado.  We picked up my sister and her husband in Boise and had them join us in our drive to Golden and camp with us during their daughter's graduation.  This is when we discovered that our 40' coach is only designed to sleep two.  Friends and family are always welcome to camp with us but in their tent.  We left with a return date in mind to have our main slide repaired.  So we made a loop through Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, and California visiting both the Grand Canyon & Yosemite.  Once the repairs were complete, we headed north to Washington, working our way west in hopes of visiting Yellowstone right after Labor Day.  Unfortunately, snow stopped us from those plans.  We wound up heading back into Idaho from Montana and then south to Utah to see Bryce Canyon, Cedar Breaks, and Zion.  With all these destinations visited, we found that our most enjoyable memories were the people we met along the way.
