Anderson Camp, Eden, Idaho

Getting here was quite the adventure.  We were driving up 93 from Ely, Nevada when our front right tire blew out 20 miles south of Jackpot.  Fortunately, we were able to get off the road safely.  We called Good Sam Roadside and after four hours they were able to find a tire for us at Les Schwab in Twin Falls (68 miles to our north) but could only find a tow truck in Wells (50 miles to our south) and they didn't except Good Sam Roadside, so it would be out of pocket.  That's when I called Les Schwab and spoke with their store manager who personally loaded up the tire and drove down and replaced the tire on the road.  It was just about dark when we arrived at Anderson Camp.  The campground was a nice change from the desert, with lots of green grass and shade trees.  They had an envelope waiting for us with our campsite location and a map.  The people were friendly, and the park was clean and welcoming.  We stayed just two nights so that we had enough time to visit Shoshone Falls.  The water was low so it wasn't nearly as spectacular as the photos that I'd seen, but it was still beautiful.  I can only imagine what it must have looked like before the power company built its hydroelectric plant.  The same was true for Twin Falls.  They got rid of one of the falls completely.
