Catalina Spa RV Resort

We spent a week at Catalina Spa Resort.  It is a nice park with top of the line facilities.  It has two beautiful pools and two very large spa tubs all of which are very warm an are non-chlorinated.  The pickleball courts, shuffleboard courts, horseshoe pits, and the miniature golf course are all in great condition.  There is a new lodge with a store, shower rooms, and workout center.  I have to say a lot of work and pride is put into the park.  They are in the process of installing two good size solar arrays and are continually working on the park.  On the flip side of that, as Coast to Coast members, we were charged an extra $18.50 a night for a “park fee” members are charged $15 and the public is charged $45 and up.  When we checked into the park, I would guess it was about 1/3 occupied and still, they assigned us a site without giving us a choice right between two other occupied sites.  As it turned out, both our neighbors were great.  The other thing we disliked about the park, was that it wasn’t close to anything.  As nice as the park is, the “resort fee” after paying thousands for a membership is probably our biggest deterrent from us returning.
